Strikes in Greece – 28/04/2017
The Federation of Construction Workers and Allied Trades in Greece organized strikes in Athens on 28 April to protest the new, 4th memorandum which the Greek government is going to sign with Europe
In the new memorandum brought forward by the SYRIZA-ANEL Government, there are pay cuts in salaries and pensions, privatisations, obstacles for trade union action and the right to strike. The Federation of Construction Workers and Allied Trades and its Athens branch organized strikes at worksites in order to inform their colleagues and ask them to attend the strike on 1 May in the centre of Athens.
