Crisis of the system: Portuguese workers say ENOUGH
apelo_page_1On May 29, 2010, at 15h in Lisbon, the General Confederation of Portuguese Workers CGTP-IN and the Portuguese Federation of Unions of Construction, Ceramics and Glass FEVICCOM call for a large demonstration of workers in construction, ceramics, glass, cement, wood, cork, marble and stone industries to show their outrage at the claim by the spokespersons of the government and employers that everyone is to be responsible for the crisis, and therefore nobody is. They call on workers to march ad to struggle in order to achieve an increase in wages, to defend the right to collective bargaining, to defend jobs and production means, to obtain a genuine employment relationship and the cessation of illness inflicting precariousness.

Basta with the vicious circle of  sub-wages, sub-services, sub-schools, sub-hospitals, sub-pensions, sub-humans.
Basta with boosting profits by offering lower prices and lower costs that is smothering the economy and let's radically change the paradigm by stimulating the economy through demand, with decent wages and increased purchasing power, with raising the general level of public health, with the multiplication of educational opportunities. The huge sums made available to "save" the banks are there to make it clear that our governments are not lacking money, but the political will to do otherwise and for the good of all.
