Solidarity with Greek workers opposing the attack against their rights

"Merry crisis and happy new fear", written in December 2008 by a young anonymous Greek poet The World Federation of Trade Unions has circulated the following appeal: PAME in Greece continues the struggles against the antilabour policy of the Government. On April 21-22 PAME has called for a 48-hour national strike, against the decision of the Government, the European Union and the FMI to increase the retirement age, to reduce pensions and to limit the medical and pharmaceutical coverage. The struggle of the Greek workers needs international support and solidarity. All WFTU affiliates and friends are called upon to send support messages. Those messages will be read at the demonstrations organized by PAME in 68 Greek cities.
