 On the occasion of the publication of a poster in support of Cuba by the WFTU, construction and timber workers represented in the UITBB reiterate once again their solidarity with Cuban male and female workers and the people of Cuba unjustly victims of the economic blockade imposed by the government of their powerful neighbour, the United States. The long lasting campaign against the Cuban government, in the US and in the European Union, has recently been intensified as a cover up for the more general attack on the workers working and social conditions worldwide. The capitalists who were for a while hesitant in their response after the huge collapse of the financial system are now even more aggressive in their dismantling of working rights, social rights and solidarities, impelling workers to be even more vigilant and focused.
